Chief Executive Officer
Elfriede Giard is the Chief Executive Officer of the World of Ethics Group of Companies, with >25 years’ experience in quality and risk management. She has started her early career after completion of a B.SC in Chemistry and Applied Mathematics at the University of the Free State, as a scientist at Rand Water, doing research in the process development of water purification processes. She was actively involved in quality and risk management in organisations since 1996, and followed this with a career in consulting and auditing, having been responsible to manage and assist many of the international blue-chip company accounts. She also has extensive experience with international certification bodies, having managed the South African division of a large multi-national for 8 years.
Elfriede has an interest and strong skills in business optimisation and as one of the founder members of the World of Ethics Group of companies has the responsibility for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of the Group of Companies. With the responsibility to ensure that the organization's leadership maintains a constant awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customer base, markets, new industry developments and standards, she has a very specific purpose and mission. That is to bring ethics into the business world of today, through value-driven solutions, honest and transparent relationships and walking the journey of compliance and international best practices with our Business Partners.
Elfriede’s passion lies in being a leader to her team, not only delegating, but walking the talk with the team and act in the best interest of both employee and employer. Her passion is extended to the development and setting the basis for youth development in growing and mentoring our younger generations.
Elfriede’s objective is to always act in the best interest of the organisation that she is employed with, through meeting the key performance criteria, operating in an honest and ethical way and always portray the highest form of integrity through every action and decision. She strives to create a value proposition unique to each customer, and ensuring the required structures are in place within the team to deliver high quality services every time and on-time.
